Does it know box sets from standard editions?
Yes. Standard singles, omnibus, deluxe, box sets and special editions are each tracked as their own edition, with its own volume count where the publisher has announced one.
Which publishers does the scanner recognize?
Publishers in eight languages. In English that includes TOKYOPOP, VIZ Media, Kodansha, Yen Press, Seven Seas, Dark Horse and many more, plus French, German, Spanish, Italian, Brazilian Portuguese, Polish and Japanese editions. Every title comes from our own catalog, which our team checks against publisher and library records.
What if my series isn't in your catalog yet?
Submit a request from inside the app when a scan comes up Not Found. Our team reviews every request, usually within a few days, and once a volume is approved it's published to the catalog and shows up in the app automatically.
What is free, and what does PRO add?
Free covers up to 50 volumes with the barcode scanner, duplicate alerts, missing volumes, your wishlist, the release calendar, the lending tracker and cloud sync. PRO removes the limit and adds Quick Scan, spreadsheet and MyAnimeList import, collection value, Monthly Wrapped, CSV export, premium themes and unlimited shelves, for $4.99 a month or $49.99 a year.
Can I bring my spreadsheet?
Yes, with PRO. Import a CSV or Excel file, or your MyAnimeList list. Manga Vault matches each ISBN to its catalog and skips volumes already in your library; anything it can't find goes to our team as a catalog request.
Does Manga Vault host manga?
No. Manga Vault tracks the physical books you own. It doesn't host manga and isn't connected to any reading site.
